But fuck. Since when was a 'bike built from scratch with totally new parts (all either off the shelf or custom made) a 'Chopper'. FUCK OFF!

A Chopper is a bog standard factory 'bike that Mr. Joseph P. Ublic has transformed into a UNIQUE roadgoing work of personal art.

So OCC, and all the dismally sad imitators who jumped on the Discovery Channel bandwagon (and by Odin how embarrassing are the British Biker Build Off  contestants), hold up your hands and admit that you are CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE BUILDERS who pander to the elite.

That way the REAL chopper builders, as horrendous as their efforts may be, can happily feel totally disconnected from the powder coated, heavily chromed, Da Vinci carb. fuelled, Exile import parts, CNC machined hierarchy that has seen you into your comfortable mansions that are so far from reality that you no longer know what the frig is going on.
